What Does This MRI Test Result Of The Left Knee Indicate?

HI...I am 5 3 and 140lbs. I recently had Mri of my left knee and the results showed diffuse red marrow regeneration within osseous structures. Blood work so far came back good and bone density test was fine as well. What can cause this to happen if anemia was ruled out.

Hello,

If there are no clinical symptoms like pain, you do not have to worry. Red marrow may be present in certain areas at any age almost.

If there is a pain, please post another question with the image of MRI (if possible). If knee pain occurs, you can take Paracetamol.

When Blood report and Bone density was fine, there is no such clinical significance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
