Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello!..inhave my chest PA and it said that i have inhomogenous opacities ith cavitations noted in the right upper to mid lung field.the heart and the rest of the structure are unremarkable. IPRESSION: PTB WITH CAVITATION CONCURRENT PNEUMONIA CONSIDERED.. what does that mean?..pls help me understand what happening?
Noted you have done chest x ray... Showing opacity in lung field of right side... You might have cough with fever show chest x ray might have done...
Let me know you this x ray finding suggestive pneumonia.. It is infection of lung paranchyma , so with fluid or pus alveoli of lung filled and in x ray seen as opacity or consolidation....
Here cause can be bacteria or tuberculous... So i will advise for sputum examination... In lab they will do gram stain and AFB stain... According to cause treatment done.... Sputum culture also helpful...
Hope i have solved your concern...
