What Does This PET Scan Report Indicate?

I had lung cancer in 2009, RML removed with no further treatment. Had a PET scan done few days ago with no malignancy noted...states RUL density seen with suggestion of CT be done in 6 months. I have had significant weight loss during this year of more than 10 lbs....could my cancer possibly returned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Significant weight loss in the past year or so is not a good sign . The report says that further follow up is necessary every 6 monthly to monitor your progress for any disease relapse. So nothing to worry as of now, just monitoring to be done as per reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Rupesh
