hello!
Prostate specific antigen PSA could be raised duu to reasons such as infection or there may be a new growth of tissue . You should look for symptoms like decreased urine stream , increased frequency of urination during night time . Prostae hyperplasia , a benign condition may give rise to such symptoms, but it usuLly occurs at older ages of 60-70s. Prostate cancer is another cause of prostate enlargement in which PSA is very high. However , PSA should not be an indicative of diagnosis. A biopsy is most specific for accurate diagnosis.
