What Does This PTH Test Report Indicate?

Hello... Just looking for some feedback on my case... 43 year old male, diabetic (last A1C was 8.7, down from 9.1) However, the big issue was my calcium level was 11 and my Vitamin D level was 24. Ran a 24 hour urine to rule out FHH and ran the PTH test and it came back within the normal range at 35. Running some tests now for potential solid mass tumors , however, I am otherwise healthy, exercise, etc. so I really do not believe, nor does my PCP believe, it is cancer. After all the reading I have done, I simply believe it is hyperparathyroidism with a normal PTH. After talking with an Edno. friend, I guess they see this pretty often... Just looking for some thoughts. Thank you.

Hello
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
A very simple thing is there if you want to rule out the thyroid dysfunction then simply get done the thyroid profile test and correlate it with the clinical symptoms, second if you do not have any clinical symptoms that indicates the thyroid disease then no need to get done any test, the important is the clinical symptom and not the test result.
Hope I have answered your query, let me know for any further assist.
