Sir, I am 44 years ,female and absolutely doing fine healthwise. I regularly exercise and i got my TMT done as a periodical health check up. If you could please explain me the meaning of my TMT report: Exercised on Bruce Protocol upto 10:05 (13.00 METS). 97% grade achieved. Baseline ECG within normal limits. Patient developed significant ST depressions 0.5-1mm US in L II, III, AVF V4-V6 No angina. No arrhythmias. Impression: TMT is borderline for inducible myocardial ischaemia at good work load 97% of maximum heart rate response .Cholesterol 250 ,HDL-78 ,LDL-135 ,Triglicerides -78
Hi, It means that your report is not that bad. Good exercise tolerance means there is less likely you have any cardiac ischaemic problem. But because there were trace evidence of ischaemic event evident, represented by ST changes. Hence its written borderline positive result. For patients over cautious and under good insurance cover, i recommend CT Coronary angiography. While in most, i give start some medication, and re-evaluate on follow up.
Regards
