What Does This TSH Level Of 10 Indicate?

My Tsh is at 10 on 120 mg of np thyroid a year ago it was in the normal range . I had a complete thyroid ectomy 65 yrs ago. How would you treat this. Synthroid made me feel terrible. Have been on armor or np for 7 yrs without this crazy number. Jan Barrali

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your pituitary gland actually secretes the THS (Thyroid stimulating Hormone ) to stimulate the thyroid gland for producing thyroid hormone and in the absence of the gland the role of TSH would doubtful. And it is very less likely in absence of clinical symptoms.There is nothing to worry. But the hypothyroidism syndrome need to be treated in case of thyroidectomy.
