I had a blood test done for the tyroid ,the result of the TSH was 6.49,is it too high, should I take kelp tablets,or what would you suggest? I am 65 years old and in good health,I am not taking any medication for anything, I really don t like the idea of taking pills if I can prevent it,my doctor suggested to repeat the test in 3 months,he did not seem alarmed. I would appreciate any information and explanation.Thank you so much Carolle

What Does This TSH Value In Blood Indicate?
Hi, You should do light yoga, jogging and take a proper diet. Medicine is not required at this level. Repeat TSH level after three months. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Rakesh Bhatty, General & Family Physician
