General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Pelvis is part of kidney where urine is collected and then drained out through ureters. In your son's case, the junction between ureters and pelvis is narrowed. This at childhood is mostly due to developmental problem before birth. Such a problem is mostly corrected surgically. Please take your son to a pediatric renal surgeon for specific treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
