What Does This UTI Test Report Indicate?

I have taken at least 5 over the counter strip tests for UTI. The LEU comes up 500+++ each time, and the nitrites come up with a slight tinge of pink around the edges. Does this indicate a UTI...I just had one about a month ago and took Cipro. Had one 2 months prior to that and took another antibiotic. Should I be concerned. I m planning on going to a walk in clinic tomorrow as my Dr. is out of town until next week, and I am tired of the discomfort and mid back pain. Thank you.

Hi,

Okay, UTI is usually come back with reinfection even after they are cured. They can cause overwhelming infection, so evaluation and treatment is seriously indicated. I cannot say in your particular case and nitrate metabolising bacteria are particularly serious because they can form infected kidney stones so they need to be treated more and sooner.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
