What Does This Widal Test Result For Fever Indicate?

Hello Doctor, My wife had fever for past 8 days, antibiotic started on 5th day. The widal test was advised and it says SALMONELLA TYPHI O antibodies Positive Titre 1:160 SALMONELLA TYPHI H antibody Positive Titre 1:160 SALMONELLA PARATYPHI A-O antibody Negative 1:160 SALMONELLA PARATYPHI B-O antibody Titer Negative 1:320 Can you please advise on what are the indications?

Regarding your widal test result I am suggesting you are detected positive for salmonella typhi O and H and for this you are diagnosed with acute salmonellosis

In view of this please take tablet ciprofloxacin this is definitely the drug of choice for the above condition
