in my x-ray report these lines were written fibricalcific lesions are seen in both lung field with partial collapse of upper lobes.trachea is shifted towards right side. cardio-thoracic ratio is within normal limits. costo-phrenic as well as cardio-phrenic angles are clear on both sides. extra pulmonary soft tissues & bony cage appear to be norma.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In chest x ray fibrocalcific lesion denotes old, healed scar lesion. This is most commonly because of TB in the past. So no need to worry now for this lesion. And as a rule fibrosis can cause volume loss and partial collapse of lung. And lung collapse tend to pull trachea on the same side. So trachea is pulled along with collpased segment on right side. No need to worry for this as all these are sequel of healed old TB.
