One of the staff members that work in my company has a strange dry cough and I took him for an X ray today. The findings are FRONTAL RADIOGRAPH CHEST (PA VIEW) Prominent vascular markings are seen in bilateral lungs. Cardiac size is normal. Hila and mediastinum are unremarkable. Both domes of diaphragm are normal. Both cardiophrenic and costophrenic angles are normal. Bony thoracic cage appears normal. ADVISED: CLINICAL CORRELATION. ITDOSE INFOSYSTEMS PVT. LTD. *** End Of Report *** What does this mean? Is he in any sort of danger and is any specific treatment required? Regards George

Based on the report you have shared, this is normal chest x-ray report but serial X-rays may be needed for following the bilateral prominence. The cough may be due to acute bronchitis and you need to get complete blood counts and ESR.
