What Does This X-ray Report Indicate?

My x-ray shows that I have a small granule as in the right lung apex. What is it and is ther a test or treatment for it? I just have been through almost a year of an unidentified bacterial in my sinus cavity. It appears to be taken care of via a surgical flush. However it was one that is hard to get rid of. Should I return to my e.n.t. For another culture?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Granuloma in the right lung apex should always be evaluated for tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is most commonly seen in the lung apex. So consult pulmonologist and get the CT thorax and bronchoscopy done. If it is suggestive of active tuberculosis, then you will need 6-8 months of anti tubercular drugs. This might also work for your undiagnosed sinus infection.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
