I have MS. But yesterday I had the worst headache ever and was told to go to the hospoital (also because i have optic neuritis and vision hasn't come back. The CAT scan showed inferior left mastoid effusion and No significant white matter disease or CT findings to suggest acute ischemia. does that mean my MS is gone?
1.The report says there are is effusion in the mastoid region - probably infective / inflammatory aetiology. 2.CT study even mentioned acute ischemia - Cessation of blood supply. 3.And clearly mentioned no significant white matter disease - IN MS generally signs are seen. 4.So there are no signs mentioned in present scan says the presence of MS. 5.How ever you need to get a followup scan, MRI is good for MS not CT actually. please get it done if any chance, the MRI will be confirmatory. Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query. Any thing to ask do not hesitate. Thank you.
