What Does This Biopsy Result For Cysts On Neck Indicate?

If a simple cysts is drained from the neck, does that mean it is gone? Also, if one primary care doctor says the biopsy results are good, why would an ent specialist say it is inconclusive? Does that mean its bad? What could cause an inconclusive report? I am so concerned for my daughter. Her appt is Aug. 12th with the ENT

Hi,

The result does not suggest any thing. Inconclusive biopsy report means it does not lead to a conclusion or it hasn't produced a definitive result or diagnosis.

In this case, the biopsy may need to be repeated, or other tests may be required to confirm the diagnosis of your condition.

In ENT specialist is more experienced in his own filed and he can clinically correlate your condition better than a primary care doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
