What Does This Blood Liver Test While Suffering From Hepatitis Indicate?
My dtr is 14yo, 125 lbs., diagnosed w/ mono and hepatitis. Alk Phos 569, ALT 533, AST 414, bilirubin 4.8.... also platelets 98. Taking care of her at home, to recheck labs weekly. Do we need to be concerned about permanent liver damage or would an otherwise healthy child typically have a full recovery from something like this?

liver enzymes increase as a secondary cause of hepatitis in mononucleosis. usually it's a complication of mononucleosis and settles in 3to 6 weeks,periodical serum test are needed there would be complete recovery
