Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 67 year old white active female. Recent blood work revealed 1) trace occult blood in the urine, 2) UIBC low @ 136, 3) Serum glucose low at 60 mg/dL, and serum ferritin high @ 222 ng/mL. What may be the problem(s)? I am a non smoker and weigh 125 lb. I have arthritis and am scheduled for a hip replacement in a few weeks.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern. Discussion:- Such test results could be normal one unless it is being correlate with the clinical conditions or condition for what it is being done else this is nothing to worry. Meditation:- No medicine needed. Advise:- Care need to be taken for hydration and good diet. Comment:- Exact urine test report would give some better hint because some parameters are missing here. Hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
