Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello I am curious about the lab report which I got call about . the nurse said everything was normal yet on the report it states Hematocrit was 46.2 and MCHC 31.9 I am 50 years old female. I do not eat red meat or pork. I love vegetables and work out 5-6 days a week
The normal hematocrit for women it is 36 to 48% and the normal MCHC level for an adult is 31-37 grams per deciliter (g/dL). The given blood test report appears to normal however it needs to be clinically correlated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
