What Does This Blood Report Indicate?
Hi, Thanks for your question. After going through your question, I can understand your concern. The Haemogram report shows mild anemia (low Haemoglobin) with MCV of 106.2 ie. Macrocytic (big size red blood cells). Other parameters are acceptable. It is usually seen in Vitamin B12 & Folic acid deficiency. Correlating these findings with your chronic stomach symptoms and gastric polyp, it may be due to malabsorption. You should also check - - Calcium metabolism. - Total protein and albumin. - Vitamin D level. - Iron profile. To know other nutrients status in body. Other possibilities for Vitamin B12 deficiency are pure vegetarian diet. Depending upon biopsy report, above test results and your clinical examination further evaluation if needed can be planned. Hope this helps you, if so do vote as helpful.
