What Does This Blood Report Indicate?
hi doctor ,my father had fever last weeks and admited in the hospital and antibiotics taken. then today blood checked again. result wbc 16.5 ,Esr 105 mmhr and Hb 11.is this dangerous? What is the cause of these values ? Can u please answer for me doctor. Urgent

The high ESR may indicate that an infection is still present. It also goes up in other conditions such as autoimmune disease, allergies, cancer, any inflammatory or infectious condition can cause an increase.
He would need to be screened for these conditions via additional blood tests.
He may also need referral to a specialist depending on the results seen.
