What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

Over the last three months my primary doctor has been checking my kidney function due to the medications I ve been prescribed (prednisone and Lialda) for microscopic colitis. 4/15- UREA - 29 Creatinine - 1.53 GFR - 52 5/17 - Urea - 27 Creatinine - 1.43 GFR - 57 7/18 - UREA - 26 Creatinine - 1.57 GFR - 51 I had been off medication in May but had to go back on them in July. I m wondering if my medicines are the source of the fluctuation in my test results.

Hello,

Urea and creatinine seem to be high while GFR is low every time you have had the check. There is a very little but not significant variation within the different times the measurements have been done.

You have not given the name of the medication you were using so I can not say for sure if it is affecting your kidneys or not.
I think you will need to talk to your doctor related to medications that affect the kidney function or that should not be used while having a reduced kidney function.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
