What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

hello sir my wife is having heigh WBC count.at present WBC count is 14800,neutrophils count-82 %,lymphocytes-13%,Eosinophils-02%,Monocytes-03%,Basophils-0,Immature cells-0 and HB-11.50,PCV-33.90%,RCB Count-4.49,Pltelet count-4,18,000 & MCV 75.5,MCH-25.6,MCHC-33.9.I just want to know what is the reason for rise WBC count.is that any major problem?please tell me. thank you.

Hi,

WBC is the major defence of our body against infection. They generally increase in number after infection. So one reason for the raise WBC may be an infection somewhere in the body.

This is a common reason that we observe. Other causes include stress, burns, or steroids that may increase the count.

Blood cancers also cause raised WBC z however that is very high numbers like generally more than 50 thousand.

Her count is not too high to be concerned a lot, but a focus of infection should be searched and treated if found.
