Hi, im 32 years old woman , mother of 2 kids,hypothyroidism from 5 years and takg medicaton Thyroxin 100ug on present, recent blood test showsTSH HIGH,THYRGLOBULIN PEROXIDASE,ATG-3607.9IU/ML AND ATPO-898.6IU/ML,US SCANNING SHOWN ,1 NODULE in Right side and need further screeng , can you please suggest what should it indicates nd what further screenings nd treatment i should follow.. thanks waiting for a quick response ...
High FSH is suggestive of hypothyroidism you may need to increase the dosage of thyroxin.
Nodule has to be evaluated further by an ultrasound, FNAC and clinical examination to assess its dimensions and to check for its resectability. Small nodule can be managed with medicine and wait and watch policy, if it's size increases further or you develop any other symptoms like swallowing difficulty or respiratory distress than it has to be operated upon.
