What Does This Blood Report Indicate?
Dear Sir, My wife 3rd trimester(8 months) pregnant, recently we done hypothyroidism test (FT3,FT4 and TSH 3RD GENERATION ULTRA) to my wife and the following results mentioned below. FT3- 3.13 FT4 -0.98 TSH 3RD GENERATION ULTRA - 4.67 Already my wife using regularly 125mcg thyroxin tablets. Please suggest me, regarding thyroxin dosage.

In pregnancy thyroid hormone requirement usually increases. In pregnancy after 3 months aim is to keep TSH level between 2 and 3. Still your hypothyroidism is under control and TSH is not much raised. If needed 150 ug dose can be set for few days if your doctor feels it. Consult endocrinologist for examination and further opinion for this.
