What Does This Blood Report Mean?

Hello I have been having low iron of around 26 mcg/dL and a low % of Saturation of 7%. My Hemoglobin is 10.7 g/dL, MCH 25.5 pg, MCHC 30.7 g/dL, EOS % 12.7 % EOS# 0.9 abs eos, Osmo 272 mos/kg Tbil 0.26 mg/dL AST (SGOT) 47 IU/L Alkaline Posphatase (Alpi) 139 U/L Alb/glob Ratio 0.9 What does all that mean? hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. above report shows mild anemia for which you must be taking iron and folic acid tablets. the other finding is raised eosinophil count that is 12% this is we called as eosinophilia. there are several condition where it raises. most common is parasitic infestation, eosinophilic lung disease where cough will be there. this may be the causative factor for your anemia, helmenthic infestation in stomach caused iron deficiency anemia. i would suggest
tablet hetrazan ( DEC ) 100 mg thrice a day for 21 days and tablet albendazole one tab now and one more after a week is the standard treatment for eosinophilia. you can consult your doctor regarding this.
