Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Sir, i have a question. I just got my blood tested by my doctor s orders, VDRL and TPHA Quantitative, and both results came back non-reactive, what does that mean? I am scheduled to meet with my doctor in the next two days about this results (he haven t seen it yet), but i m too anxious as to what the results mean.
VDRL and TPHA are the tests done to know the presence of syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection. Non reactive means negative. It means You don't have syphilis infection in your body. So you don't need to be anxious. Just relax.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
