Dear Doctor, my mothers ESR 119 mm/hr Hemoglobin 9 gm%, lymphocytes 49% MXD 22.9, RDWSD 73.33fL. What treatment should you advice? I gave Ampicillin inj.1g 20 pieces after that I gave penicillin G sodium 5mega 10 pieces, still no effect, her age 70 yrs
hi from the lab results your mother seems to be suffering from a viral infection and has low level of blood. antibiotics will not help in a viral infection. she needs to be investigated further for the anemia and also find out the type of viral infection i would suggest take her to a physician for a through review you can give her a lot of fluids, fruits, green leafy vegatables, beetroot, liver to help with the anemia and infection. hope to have answered your query thanks and takecare.
