What Does This Chest X-ray For Cough And Cold Indicate?

Hi i am a 48 year old women . Non smoker failrly fit no history of respiratory problems, i have really bad colds at leat once per year and i am left with an irritating cough for about 2- 3 months afterwards , . Gp sent me for a chest xray ,. Xray results showed a 12mm oval opacity left mid zone with ? Focus of pleural thickening, cough settled about 2 months ago. I remember when i was about 9 or 10 years old playing in a big pile of white dust , kicking it and throwing it like snowballs , my aunt stayed near houses which where being demolished , unsure what the white powder was , scared it may have been asbestos

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the x-ray shows some opacity then it must be known the underlying etiology tubercular infection need to be ruled out and for that better to get done the sputum AFB test, and other blood test for differential diagnosis, watch for weight loss and loss of appetite, hope this information helps take care and have a nice day.
