What Does This Chest X-ray Report For Persistent Cough Indicate?
I. Have a terrible cough. Doc in box took X-ray and I have something like a fold in my lung? I don t understand that. She gave me cough med and antibiotic. Also albuterol sulfate inhalation solution, 0.083%. I ve had two treatments using a little machine today. I feel better afterwards. It s night now and my cough and chest feel awful. Can I give myself another treatment? I m 70, with no other health problems.
* As per my clinical experience, the chest x-ray with some fold like thing in the lung indicates underlying lung infection either lobar pneumonia, pneumonitis or others.
* The antibiotics with albuterol inhalation via inhaler machine is the best therapy to cure it at earliest.
Over a period of time, you will get best results out of the same and supportive care should be exercised with
- deep breathing exercises and YOGA
- avoidance of active or passive smoking
- balanced nutritious diet to combat the immunity status
- control of blood sugar.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
