Hello.. My age is 65 yrs. My recent chest x-ray, urine, blood checkups showed fibrotic streak in right apex. Does it mean i have tb?? Relatively doctor ask me to take sputum test continuous 3 mornings and a reporr from a cardiologist, physical examination findings state of target organs, nyha level and ccs functional of agina. Echocardiography - resting ecg , exercise ecg test, cardiac and neuclear stress test. Does above tests are all for determining TB?? How are they related to TB. Thanks for your help.
Hi dear , I have gone through your question and i understand your concern.As per history provided your being examined for TB and OTHER LUNG AND HEART related issues also. If you have any symptoms like cough,expectoration,fever,pleuritic chest pain,dyspnea then you need further investigations like sputum,ESR and HRCT CT chest and physician's opinion for TB.
If you do not have any symptoms at present then you need not to worry as these changes are seen in old healed chest infection like pneumonia or tuberculosis.
