In the x ray report taken for my dad, there is a line that says ovoid opacity found in the right para cardiac region . What does that mean? He is diabetic but has no known cardiac or pulmonary illness. Doctor suggests a CT/ECHO. Is it related to a possible TB or anything else related to the heart?
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic. As I can see from this description,it is more likely to be related to lung lesions and it may be tuberculosis but also tumors as well. However in most cases this is benign and may include lymph node or emphysema.Ct would be .ore accurate to distinguish it exactly so this is your next step. I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
