Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
We are waiting to speak to a urology doctor on Monday and have the blood tests in front of us now. Is 129 exceptionally high for Creatinine?? It says the range should be 36-73, everything else seems within the normal ranges. She has a catheter because she couldn t pass urine properly.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. Creatinine is a breakdown product produced in muscle, and is usually produced at a fairly constant rate by the body.
Creatinine is removed from the body by kidneys. High blood creatinine such as 129 indicates a problem with kidney function such as nephritic syndrome, Diabetic nephropathy, etc Conditions that block the urinary system include kidney stones, congenital obstructions, poor bladder emptying can also cause high creatinine level
Refer to your Urologist for consultation Don't worry you would be fine Hope this information helps.
