Hello, I have received my mother in law s cycopathology report. Here i m typing the microscopic appearance. Would you like to tell me how much serious is this? Smears show a small number of anaplastic epithelial cells arranged in loose clusters. These have hyperchromatic nucleus with scanty cytoplasm. Some of these are forming gland-like structures. The background shows blood. Dx: CT guided FNAC, Right lung lesion: Positive for malignancy, Adenocarcinoma (favour, Metastasis)

thank-you user for your query
I understand your concern.
Your mother in law's cytopathological reports suggests clearly that your mother is having lung cancer but dont worry at all there are many targeted therapy available for lung cancer. Crizotinib, gefitinib, erlotinib, and afatinib are used as chemotherapy.
kindly consult any oncologist as he will start the management without delay.
Don't worry she will be fine soon.
