What Does This Echo Cardiogram Mean?

Just a couple general questions. I had an echocardiogram today and I was watching as she was taking pictures. On the aorta section a couple of the pictures had small red markings or check marks and I was wondering what that signifies. Also during the section with the heart most of the pictures are black and white, but a couple of the pictures were kinda orange. What does that mean?
