General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be inferred based on the ultrasound scan report you have enclosed.
1. There are few hypoechoic space occupying lesions seen in the uterus, which is suggestive of 'fibroids'.
2. The largest one measures 119 X 94 mm, which is present towards the outer ans upper portion of the uterus (fundus).
3. The second largest is measuring 38 X 33 mm, which is present near the cervix (bottom portion of uterus) towards the backside.
4. Another two lesions are present within the uterine musculature in the front side measuring 25 X 18 mm and 14 X 8 mm respectively.
Hence, there are 4 fibroids in the uterus, which has been detected by means of the present ultrasound scan.
Fibroids are the most frequently seen non-cancerous tumors of the female reproductive system. Depending on the symptoms they cause, it necessitates their removal surgically.
Kindly consult Gynaecologist with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
