Hello Thank you for query on Healthcare Magic. As per your usg scan lipoma is fat accumulation, is very common condition. you need to go for follow up usg scan or if it increases in size further get minimal excision surgery.
Hi! Welcome to HCM! Lipoma is one of the most common benign mesenchymal tumor which can occur in almost in each part of the body where fat normally exists. They are slow growing reach a size 2-3cms and are generally harmless.Lesions larger than 5 cms,or when show symptoms, appropriate workup must be done like FNAC .If suspicious adequate surgical excision ,histopathological examination to rule out malignant tumour-- liposarcoma and repeat examination over time to monitor for recurrence.
As in your case theres just a slight increase in size after 6 months and lesion is less than 5 cm so nothing much needs to be done except follow up. Take care!
