Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to start lipid lowering drugs directly.
Since you are not having diabetes or hypertension, you can wait and try non pharmacological measures to reduce lipids.
So follow these steps towards reduce triglycerides and other lipids.
1. Avoid oily and fatty foods. Avoid junk food.
2. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
3. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
4. Do regular aerobic exercise like running, cycling, swimming etc.
5. Loose weight if you are obese.
6. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
7. Start using sunflower and olive oil for cooking.
Do all these for 1 month and get done repeat lipid profile test.
If it is decreasing then no drugs are needed. But if lipids remain same or increasing then you will need drugs also.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
