Hello,

Tuberculosis is considered cured if the sputum tests negative for tubercular bacilli. Some changes like fibrosis persist in X-ray chest even after treatment.

In case you are taking anti tubercular treatment (ATT), then you need to complete your treatment as per prescription of your treating doctor.

You may repeat X-ray chest after 2-3 months as per instructions of your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
