Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a pelvic ultrasound last Monday. I am 22 weeks pregnant and there was a remark that my baby has small stomach bubble. Although its diagnosis only says that I have a female fetus and adequate amniotic fluid and no suggestion of a repeat scan after some weeks, I am still worried about that small stomach bubble. Please enlighten me. I have been praying that my baby girl is healthy and normal. Thank you and Gob bless.
The scan report you have given is quite normal, during 19- 22 weeks pregnancy it is quite common at this stage of pregnancy where the baby's stomach ,which is the first to develop, appears like a black sac and is called coelome it appears like a stomach bubble and it is sign that your baby is healthy and developing well.
Wishing you Good health and safe delivery!
