What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Exam: Pelvic ultrasound (transabdominal and endovaginal

Findings: Both transabdominal and endovaginal US evaluation of the pelvis was performed. The uterus measures 9.6 cm L x 5.4 cm AP x 5.9 cm T. The endometrial stripe thickness is 6 mm, within normal limits. Within the posterior cervix, there is an ovoid hypoechoic lesion containing moderate level internal echoes measuring 3.1 x 2.0 x 3.2 cm, most likely representing a cervical nabothian cyst with internal echogenic debris. The right ovary measures 3.4 cm x 1.6 x1.4 cm and the left ovary measures 3.1 cm x 1.3 cm x 2.0 cm. No cystic or solid adnexal mass is present. No free pelvic fluid is present. Impression: Probable cervical nabothiancyst with a maximal diameter of 3.2 cm. no adnexal abnormality. Does this mean surgery?
