What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result For Conception Indicate?

hi, I am a 27 yr old trying for a baby. I did an ultrasound and the findings said that the endometrium appears heterogeneous with some venous flow seen within. no focul endometrial nodule is seen.my right ovary contains an avascular echogenic structure measuring 3.6cm by 3.7cm by 3.4cm and it probably is a dermoid cyst venous flow is demonstrated in both ovaries and no adnexal mass is noted. minimal fluid is demonstrated in the pouch of Douglas? Is there something to be concerned about my heterogeneous endometrium?

Hello,

Heterogeneous endometrium means the grayscale of the echoes on the sonogram is varied in colours of grey rather than homogeneous or all the same shade of grey.

It is seen in polyps, submucosal fibroids, hyperplasia, retained products of conception after pregnancy or less commonly malignancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
