What Does This Pulmonary Report Indicate?

OTH lungs are clear. The pulmonary vascular pattern is within normal limits. The cardiac shadow is not enlarged. The aort is segmentally calcified. Spurs line the margins of the thoracic vertebrae. The diaphragm, lateral costophrenic suici and the rest of the bony thorax are unremarkable. Impression Atherosclerotic aorta Degenerative osseous changes

Hello,

I have gone through the x-ray report you have mentioned. First of all no need to worry about any lung diseases because this is normal. Calcification in the aorta is common after the age of 50 years.

This is not pathological. So, no need to worry about the calcified atherosclerotic area in the aorta. Get done lipid profile, and if it is altered, then you may need the lipid-lowering drug (statin).
