Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The
lipid profile report you have posted can be interpreted as follows:
1.
Total cholesterol level is about 24 mg higher than normal.
2. Triglycerides is about 41 mg above normal.
3.
LDL cholesterol is within normal limits.
4.
HDL cholesterol is slightly lesser than normal.
With such a kind of picture, you need to bring down your cholesterol and triglyceride levels and increase in HDL cholesterol level. Since HDL is a good cholesterol and cardio protective, you must increase its level, which could be done by exercise.
Hence, you can achieve this by burning your calories primarily by exercise and healthy diet.
Morning and evening brisk walk for 20 minutes each (total duration of 40 minutes/day) regularly should be good enough to bring your levels to optimum. At the same time restrict consumption of refined sugar items, oily items and junk food in your diet.
Keep a check on your
Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist/Hip Ratio as well.
Kindly check your lipid profile after 6 months. Improvement in the results would suggest you to continue the same further.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
Stay healthy and wish you all the best.
