Hello Dr. Bhargava.I am a 36 year old woman. I have been experiencing fatigue, hot flashes, headaches, dizziness and pulling and pressure in my rt abdominal. I have been experiencing these symptoms for almost a month. My period last month was abnormal, It was very light in flow and only lasted 2 days. Normal for me is a heavy flow for the first 2 days and it last for approx. 5 days. Because the symptoms appeared to be pregnancy related I took 2 test and both were neg. I went to see my doctor and she took a urine and blood test and they both cam back negative as well. She then ordered a ultrasound and this is what the results were: FINDINGS: There is a presumed involuting follicle on the left ovary. The right ovary measures 3.2 x 2.0 x 1.6 cm, and the left ovary measures 5.6 x 4.3 x 2.5 cm. The uterus appears normal, and measures 10.1 x 6.5 x 4.7 cm with a normal-appearing, 11 mm central endometrial echo complex. There is no free fluid seen in the pelvic cul-de-sac. No abnormal masses are identified. The appendix is not visualized. IMPRESSION: Relatively large left ovary with presumed involuting follicle Please explain what this means & help me figure out what is going on with me. Thanks
