What Does This Scan Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
Hi Doctor,My 5th month scan shows a possible asymmetric placenta previa. I had congenital anomaly scan yesterday at 24 weeks and the results are:-single live intrauterine pregnancy in cephalic presentation with good cardiac and somatic activity, 24 2/7 weeks by fetal biometry -normohydramnios -posterior placenta, grade 2, low-lying, 2cm distance from os -estimated fetal weight is small for gestational age (9th percentile), suggestive of intrauterine growth restrictionI m kind of worried with the IUGR. Sonographic fetal weight is Hadlock: 693grams. Overall, is my baby boy doing ok?
dear u have not mentioned the type of congenital anomaly in usg.if there is really a diagnosed congenital anomally then baby is not good for u but the scan details what u have given in question seems not very bad.liquor is normal.placenta is low lying but not on the os,it is away from the os 2 cm.so just u have to be very alert for any bleeding,if it happens then run to doc and stop the bleeding.so that circulation may maintain to the fetus.the other thing u mentioned is retarded growth, then dont worry u have enough time to correct it.u take L-ARGIN sachet daily once for 15 days and tab complamina retard twice daily for 7 days.ur iugr problem will soon recover.if only iugr prob then ur baby is fine
