Hello Doctor

28-03-2010 i had my scaning & the reports shows dat i had functional cyst measures 43*21mm...my doctor suggested me to take one tablet name Dyne..i continued taking..

i had my second scanning on 12-02-10,the left ovary cyst size has reduced to 18*17mm

& i had my last scanning on 25-04-10,the left overy cyst has reduced to 18*15mm

Left overy measures 33*21mm with hypo echoeic area 18*15mm

Now my question is last week (7-05-2010) i came to US & i left my tablets in India..today(15-05-10) my mestrual cycle is started..is it fine to discontinue the tablet?

or will it have any adverse affect..plz suggest me

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is was a cyst / simple / functional in the left ovary.
2. Which is seen reducing in size - usually due to the hormonal treatment what you where taking.
3.In further scan the measurement mentioned was ovary size - suggest there is no cyst any more.
4.Lastly the hypo echoic in the scan with measurements can be a dominant follicle.
5.In this case, there is no harm in discontinuing, but if clinically indicated need to get a followup scan.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
