Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
kindly explain the problem.. the report is given that sections reveal ileal mucosa with normal vilous to crypt ratio, lined by columnar and gobiet cells. focal superficial erosion seen. lamina propria shows moderately dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates. muscularis is splayed. no evidense of surface parasites/granuloma/features of ibd.
As per my clinical experience, any report interpretation needs correlation with underlying symptoms as well as clinical findings by physician. However, without additional input, only the scan report comment can be figured out as presence of moderately dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates in the lamina propria of ileum (part of small intestine) suggest likely disorder with immunologic process or plasma cell disorder with neoplasia development.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
