Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 32 years old, did my sperm analysis & found that A. liquefaction time is 50 minutes, B. Motility: Grade 0 (non-motile)-30%, Grade i & ii (sluggish)-40%, Grade-iii & iv (Active) -30%, C. Morphology: Normal-90%, abnormal-10%......can you please explain me in details if there are any problem...
From the parts of the report of semen presented by you, motility of sperms and morphology of sperms seem to be in normal range. However, more information like total sperm count, progressive and non progressive motility of sperms as well as presence of pus cells etc., may be helpful to analyse your report in a better way.
Liquification time of your semen is not normal. Normal liquification time should be about 20 minutes. A longer liquification time usually denotes some infection, particularly of prostate or epididymis etc. Hence, in your case diagnosis and treatment of any infection is advised after proper investigations like urine for culture and sensitivity, examination of prostatic fluid as well as a complete blood count.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
