Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Sperm count 16, 200,000/cumm, the Sperm Motility is 5% Grade IV with good activity, 25% Grade III Good Activity, 10% Grade II with Poor Activity, 05% Grade I with minimal forward progression, 55% Non-Motil & My sperm Morphology is 88% with Normal Head, 10 % Tapered Head and 02% Amorphous Head. Is there something that I can do to make it better? Is there possibility that these 10% tapered head sperm and 2% Amorphous Head Sperm produce an abnormal baby? These are my fears... Please help me...!
The semen report is indicative of abnormal movement as well as structure of the sperm cells. The most common cause of abnormal morphology is defective production from various disorders of testicle. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend a Biopsy report of testicle for the best evaluation of cause and further management guidelines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
